Chris Evans (Track This Article)

By: jennieC

Chris Evans was born June 13, 1981, originally he is from Framington, Massachusetts, however spent his early preteen and high school days in the quiet suburban town of Sudbury, Massachusetts.

His interest in theatre developed in the first grade, when he emulated his older sister, Carly and took up her favorite hobby, performing in school plays.

After years of performing his hobby turned into passion, Chris made the decision while attending Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School that he wanted to pursue acting professionally.

He informed his parents upon making his decision and they enthusiastically supported him, especially since he was adorned with praise throughout all of his high school productions.

Soon after his epiphany, Chris dashed off to New York, where he took on an intern position at a casting agency while concentrating on perfecting his art form at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

Throughout his internship, Mr. Evans befriended a handful of agents and casting directors – one of whom took particular interest in him and ended up taking him on as a client. That agent may have taken a gamble; yet, following his intuition and signing Chris was a sure fire way to hit the jackpot. Especially since Chris’ career has not slowed down in the least bit over the last several years.

Evans’ first appearances were on a couple of television series, “The Fugitive” (2000) and “Opposite Sex”. His “Hollywood introduction" to the red carpet and maniacal, flashing cameras came after his role in Not Another Teen Movie, where he played a hunky, jock.

Soon after, he landed roles in Just Married, Eastwick, The Perfect Score and Cellular. All of these roles were diverse in nature and certainly portrayed his skill in refusing to be typecast a “just another teen actor.”

His embrace with stardom came with his role as “Johnny Storm” in Fantastic Four (2005) and the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

He has an incredible line up for 2008. Look our for other engaging performances in The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond, Under the Blue Sky and Night Watch.

He’s was ranked #18 on E! Televisions 2006 101 Sexiest Celebrity Bodies and also named one of People Magazine’s “Hottest Bachelors”, but this fine young man still claims that his father is his super hero.

His intent on maneuvering his way to the top in order to solidify a permanent position in Hollywood seems to have been in the cards for Chris and you could say that most women think he’s an Ace and wouldn’t complain if he chose one of them to be his queen.
