The trial between telecommunication corporations (Track This Article)

By: Mathew Petrenko

Everyone should realize that one minute consists of sixty seconds. But lately one of the IDT companies announced that most of companies, which provide calling cards, give just 36 seconds instead of 60. A lot of well-known companies declared that it can't be any upright rivalry if one of rivals has got unjust benefit before the beginning of a rivalry. IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) company made a resolve to sue the different corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards for the unfair rivalry circumstances on a phone services market.

That is hard to believe, but some of unjust card producers give just approximately 60 percent of minutes, that were paid for. Last year Total Call International and IDT/UTA was charged with unlawful procedures by the group of telephone corporations that included IDT Telecom Inc. and LLC. Before that IDT/UTA intiated legal procedure versus the group of accused for three times. Another settling defendants to date are Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and connected corporations, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc. IDT/UTA's lawsuit against the residuary defendants is still continuing in federal tribunal in Newark, New Jersey. To let everybody know the new phone service conditions and payment methods, one of the companies placed the advertising information on their website. One of the characteristics he was proud of was the ability to determine the length of the minute to any size. Another characteristic was to stochastically keep back a minute from your account. Moreover, they declared that these standards are not their invention, but are the rules for all phone card corporations. It is true, because reviewing all the recent advertising notices we can see the same information.

That means that the international phone card, which is purchased for $10.00, gives you 1000 minutes for conversations! Please, select the calling card carefully to avoid the possibility of being cheated. The good news is that the corporations noticed above have agreed to return 100 percent of the minutes promised to consumers. IDT/UTA thinks that until all defendants have consented to follow to that rule, it is beneficial for the continued prosecution of that action to have a smooth process with some accused. To set up the level of paying field all the companies, that provide the telephone services should further good practices and standards. They will attempt to create the systems for testing the capability of prepaid phone cards to deliver the quantity of units promised for private destinations. All the companies reached the acceptance that every of them has to do its best to resolve that problem as soon as possible.
